About Us
People's Organisation for Wider Education & Rights (POWER) is a NGO committed in bringing relief and healing to suffering poor, downtrodden and the marginalized with no regard to language, race, religion, caste, color, creed and gender through various development initiatives and programs. The genesis of our project dates back to the year 1992. It is an organization with a secular and humanitarian outlook and led by established principles of social service. It has been in service to the poor and downtrodden for the past 32 years serving underprivileged, marginalized poor, Children & women, people with disabilities, tribal community, adolescent girls, youth boys & girls, poor commercial sex workers, children and women affected / infected with HIV and AIDS. We primarily work in 10 Mandals of Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh state. Education and Rehabilitation, counseling, awareness and leadership development are given for their enhancement in all spheres of their life. Their lives are transformed to be a change agent in their own family and community.
